DMO Scoliosis suit
A new concept in the treatment of Scoliosis
The made to measure dynamic suit enable the clinician to control and prevent scoliosis in various presentations including spinal injuries, cerebral palsy and other presentations.
The suit allows the child to be corrected by the use of higher resistance to movement, coupled with the proprioceptive feedback to the brain encouraging relearning of motor patterns. Because the suit is guiding rather than holding the spine, commonly seen muscle weakness is not seen; indeed the evidence suggests that the muscle tone increases with use and improved postural positioning. If used early in child development scoliosis can be prevented in later years.
