Digital Marketing Project Coordinator

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the DM Orthotics team! We are seeking a digital all-rounder, with strong experience in the digital arena that can help us continue to drive forward our digital output.

Job Description

With strong knowledge of social media marketing and content management across platforms such as WordPress, the successful applicant would also be responsible for providing digital support to key projects. The role requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, matched with diplomacy and an approachable personality with a strong ability to communicate and provide insight into communications across digital platforms. Additionally, a key aspect of this role will be to coordinate digital projects for senior management & directors from inception to delivery.

Principle Responsibilities 

  • Delivery of all digital communications and social media, including our website – in conjunction with the Marketing Manager (MM).
  • Identifying digital solutions for our key digital projects, often alongside our web developers.
  • In conjunction with the MM, evaluate, review the production of all marketing material.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and guidance to Senior Management and Directors.
  • Develop strong relationships with third party organisations, including web developers, designers and outsourced creative solutions.
  • Ensuring that the project meets the standards expected by DM Orthotics.

Skills and Experience 

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, acting as example to other staff.
  • Significant experience of delivering digital communications strategies and projects, with emphasis on digital marketing and external communications.
  • Excellent Office 365 skillset, particularly with Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Strong knowledge of content management systems, specifically WordPress.
  • Experience of building online email campaigns.
  • Previous use of project management systems, such as Trello.
  • Online task management platforms and all-round digital awareness.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with staff and partner organisations.
  • Strong organisational skills and able to prioritise a varied and busy multi-functional role
  • Previous use of Facebook and Google Ads PPC -desirable

Secondary Responsibilities 

  • Provide accurate and timely, analytical management reporting, identifying trends where possible.
  • Identify potential influencers across our audience to stewardship across social media platforms.·
  • Forecasting risks to projects and dealing with changes in scope.
  • Keep up to date with communications trends and software.
  • Attend industry related events.
  • Monitor and report on key competitor and industry news.

Job Title: Marketing Executive – Maternity Cover: March 2020 – 5th February 2021

Salary: £16-£24K dependent on experience

DM Orthotics Ltd is a world leading designer and manufacturer of medical devices which help improve the quality of life for people with disabilities around the world.

We are looking for a bright and motivated Marketing Executive to undertake the daily marketing activities and help assist the company with their strategic marketing plans and campaigns. You will ideally be a graduate with a marketing or business-related degree or have at least 2 years’ experience working in both B2B and B2C environments. You will be comfortable writing engaging copy for marketing collateral and will also have a strong understanding of both social media and website content management systems. You will have experience in formulating and delivering successful integrated marketing campaigns across a variety of communication channels and be confident collaborating with various different departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • First point of contact within the company for all marketing work
  • Assist with implementation and delivery of marketing activities in line with the company strategy on time and within budget
  • Copy writing for: website, case studies, news features, marketing material, social media
  • Act as media buyer/negotiator for paid-for media
  • Liaise with external design agencies to create and develop marketing materials for domestic and export markets
  • Organise photo-shoots and video-shoots
  • Monitor and update social media channels
  • Manage the marketing ISO database
  • Maintain and update e-marketing databases
  • Attend industry related events
  • Monitor and report on key competitor and industry news
  • CMS content management, specifically WordPress

Key Requirements

  • Ideally a Graduate with a marketing or business-related discipline or at least 2 years’ experience working in marketing in B2B and B2C environments
  • A broad understanding of marketing strategy and planning with demonstrable examples of how to put academic theory into practice
  • A fast learner with great attention to detail
  • Be a positive, friendly team player who is eloquent and confident when engaging with a variety of people, from clients and suppliers to members of the public
  • Proficient in the use of social media channels, Facebook, Twitter for marketing purposes including a good understanding of Facebook Ads Manager
  • Be able to understand and interpret technical, medical information
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage a number of projects and varying workload
  • Good organisation and prioritisation skills
  • Literate in MS Office packages – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Experience within private or public health sector an advantage
