Lights, camera, action!
DM Othotics have been busy filming an exciting new project which will go live on the www.dmorthotics.com later this year.
A number of short video clips have been shot which demonstrate precisely how to take each of the measurements needed for DMO products. The series of films will assemble a complete package of video tutorials which will allow clinicians who have completed the, DM Orthotics Foundation Course in Assessment, Measuring and Prescription, to refer to them at any time via their clinical login at dmorthotics.com
General Manager, Dan Severn commented on the project,
“Due to the bespoke and precise nature of our products there can sometimes be slight discrepancies in measuring by clinicians. This is identified during the production process and often involves us having to contact the clinician who measured the patient to clarify the landmark points they were measuring to. This then leads to a delay in getting the orthoses out to the patient. So the idea behind the video tutorials is for us to offer a very clear step by step guide on an actual person which people can refer to whenever and as often as needed. “
The video tutorials are shot against a plain white background and use a pseudo patient to enhance visual clarity and provide the viewer with a more realistic scenario. Close-up shots are used where necessary to show precise landmarks for intricate measurements.
“We are hoping the video series will provide clinicians who have been trained in our products with a useful reference tool and reduce the need to re-measure patients, providing an improved service overall, benefitting clinicians and patients alike.”
