One of our unique capabilities as an orthotic manufacturer is the expertise of our in-house clinical team. We have nine practicing clinicians who assess, measure and prescribe patients with custom orthoses that help them manage their genetic, neurological and musculoskeletal conditions– greatly improving their quality of life.

Therefore, because of the nature of our clinicians’ roles, we would like to spotlight each member of our team to showcase their expertise.

Caroline Jackson

Clinical Specialist Orthotist

Caroline is one of our Clinical Specialist Orthotists, based in the Midlands. Before Joining the team, Caroline gained a wealth of experience practicing as an Orthotist after graduating from the University of Salford.

Starting her career within the NHS, Caroline developed an interest in Paediatrics and Scoliosis. In time, she became the Principal Orthotist for the NHS in Stoke-On-Trent and continued to work in a Clinical Lead Role for local services in the area. In addition to her duties, Caroline worked with local hospitals to educate Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) and junior doctors about improving pathways for inpatients, with a strong focus on spinal trauma.

Since joining us at DM Orthotics back in October 2022, Caroline has been building strong relationships with patients & AHPs in private and NHS clinics:

“I have a really interesting mix of clientele, ranging from NHS clinic referrals, individual private enquiries and even working with local clinicians and case managing clients. Aside from working with patients, I continue to work alongside local services to help develop the skills of existing teams, enabling their services to flourish.”

This year, Caroline has been a vital part of helping gather research around the current workforce in partnership with the British Association of Prosthetists & Orthotists (BAPO) and The University of Staffordshire; from which, three academic papers have been published. Not to mention, her attendance at conferences such as the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists Interested in Neurology (ACPIN) and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).

We have nine Clinical Specialists located all over the UK, who are available for clinical assessments to help you find the right Dynamic Movement Orthosis® (DMO).
