One of our unique capabilities as an orthoses manufacturer is the expertise of our in-house clinical team. We have ten practicing clinicians who assess, measure and prescribe patients with custom orthoses that help them manage their genetic, neurological and musculoskeletal conditions– greatly improving their quality of life.

Therefore, because of the nature of our clinicians’ roles, we would like to give each member of our team a spotlight to show you their expertise.

Lynsey McCallum

Clinical Specialist Orthotist

Before joining our team in 2022, Lynsey worked in various NHS Clinics; her latest role being an Orthotic Clinical Lead. Additionally, she worked in various general Orthotics clinics since graduating from the University of Strathclyde with BSc Prosthetics and Orthotics in 2007. In 2010, Lynsey began to specialise in paediatrics, mainly neuromuscular and later expanding into Scoliosis management.

Lynsey’s role within the Clinical team is to meet and assess patients in clinics predominantly in the Southeast of England, as well as providing insightful, Orthotic Biomechanical advice to clinics and healthcare professionals in her vicinity.

“Similar to my other clinical colleagues at DMO, I provide many trained clinicians with in-house support, troubleshooting complex patient conditions and offering professional opinions. I’ve also had a key role in providing external clinicians with face-to-face training in the Southeast, acting as a direct point of contact for any Dynamic Movement Orthoses (DMO®) or Ankle Foot Orthoses (AFO) support.”

Recently, Lynsey successfully established our latest partnership with CPotential, an Integrated Therapy Clinic in North London, helping them to create referral systems as well as DMO® & Orthotic management. This is a unique partnership, providing families a combination of Orthoses support and intensive therapies for a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary care plan.

Last year, Lynsey was invited to present the 2023 Headway Conference in Ipswich, discussing the many features and benefits of our various DMO products. Aside from her day-to-day duties and clinical assessments, Lynsey is currently working with teams at the Great Ormand Street Hospital on various projects and clinical trials.
