Overview

Groin and other forms of pelvic pain can be notoriously difficult to manage. This article highlights some of these problems, and discusses the use of a novel management tool which may aid in the management of such dysfunction. Dynamic elastomeric fabric orthoses (DEFOs) are a relatively new approach to orthotics. This concept in orthotic management will be introduced and discussed as a novel approach to support the physiotherapeutic rehabilitation of athletic groin and pelvic pain, building upon the role of pelvic belts.
