The DMO® Sensory vest for children is designed to improve sensory proprioceptive feedback and core stability which is facilitated by the application of deep pressure. This is exerted through the skin by the compression force applied by the fabric. The DMO® Sensory vest is suitable for children requiring compression to improve their body awareness, it can be used to help support a reduction in overactivity and provide a calming effect or to improve core stability and midline orientation.
Improving body awareness in this way can have a positive effect on core stability, body alignment and improved spatial awareness. When combined, this can improve fine and gross motor skills.
