DMO Sport ‘REPS’ give talk at Falmouth University
Students at Falmouth University were recently treated to a presentation on Dynamic Movement Orthoses by members of DM Orthotics’ Research and Development Team as part of their Performance Sportswear Design degree course.
Anna Scott (Pattern and Design Development) and Sarah Howlett (Pattern Cutting Technician) were invited by course co-ordinator Susan Shaw to talk about compression therapy and its translation into sports apparel.
Anna Scott commented on the chance to speak at the widely acclaimed university.
“It was great to be asked by Falmouth University to come and speak to the students. Functional design is integral to our business and relates directly to the DMO Sport REPS range.”
Students were introduced to the concept of compression therapy and posture management and how they can be used for recovery and injury rehabilitation. After the presentation the students were able to spend some time one-on-one with Anna and Sarah to examine some of the DMO Sport products in more detail.
